Obituary for Marion F. Hardy (Fletcher)

MARION FLETCHER WIGGIN HARDY
Walked Into The Light
February 18, 2015

BANGOR – Born October 6, 1930, in Mars Hill, Maine, the second daughter of Wellman S. Fletcher and Madeline Hartley Fletcher.

Marion loved to travel and some of her travels were to Portugal, Turkey, Italy, The Greek Islands, Alaska, Hawaii, and more than once to Nashville and Branson, as well as white water rafting.

She was a member of the East Orrington Congregation Church and a lifetime member of the Anah Temple Sunshine Club.

Before retirement, she was the office manager for her first husband’s General Contracting Business for 32 years and also owned Flair Hair Fashions for 9 years.

Marion took up painting later in life and has many ribbons for scenic oil paintings which are enjoyed by her family and her friends.

She is pre-deceased by her first husband, Carlton “CJ” Wiggin, Sr., by her second husband, Richard Hardy, by 3 brothers, Merle, Norman, and David Fletcher.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Carlton J. Wiggin, Jr., of Searsport, and his son Jason of Bangor; by her daughter, Pastor Darla Norrish, and her family of Tucson, Arizona; by her sister Joyce M. Dunton, of Brooks, Maine; by her brother, Charles Fletcher, of Ohio; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At Marion’s request, memorial services will be private.
