Alice Virginia (Keirstead) Libbey, 89, died on March 27, 2015. She was born on October 13, 1925 in Nashua, New Hampshire to Roy N. Keirstead and Ethel Edna Gamblin of New Brunswick, Canada. Alice was a graduate of the University of Maine and served as a Registered Nurse at Eastern Maine General Hospital. She was also a flight attendant for Northeast Airlines. An avid gardener, horse racing fan, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, her sense of humor and calm nature will be missed.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Fred H. Libbey Jr.; and daughter, Pamela (Libbey) Mallory; as well her brother, Roy Keirstead Jr, of Gravenhurst Ontario; and sister, Doris Keirstead of Nashua New Hampshire.

Surviving are sons, John Libbey and his wife Linda Libbey, of Gorham, James Libbey of Bangor, Robert Libbey and his wife Lauren Hathaway, of New York, New York; grandchildren Dee Ann Libbey of Gorham, Heather Fairbrother and her husband Mark Fairbrother of Stockton Springs; great grandchildren Cody and Ashton Fairbrother; as well as nephew, Tom Winsor and his wife Patricia Winsor of Norway, Maine; niece Tania Hannon and her husband Cyril Hannon of Brooklin, Maine, and niece Libbey Gulliver and her husband John Gulliver of Blue Hill.

Friends and relatives are welcome to call from 6-8pm, Monday, March 30, 2015 at Brookings-Smith 133 Center Street, Bangor, where a funeral service will be held at 1pm, Tuesday, March 31, 2015.
