Obituary for Bunny Maire Dana (Curtis)

Brewer- Bunny M Dana, 81, died unexpectedly at EMMC. She was born January 9th, 1934 in Newport. The biological daughter of Ernest Ervin and Vesta Sarah (Curtis) Hersey Sr. and adoptive parents Clyde Walter and Beaty Ada Gowen. In addition to her parents, she was pre deceased by four siblings, Ernest Hersey Jr, William and wife, Arlene Hersey, Dorothy Fish, and Robert Buzzell, a niece, Brenda Currier, a great grandson, Johnathan Michael Richards, and one very special ex-husband Roy Dana Sr. Surviving children, Deborah J McFarland, Sharon A Snell, Steven L McFarland, April L McFarland, and Kevin L McFarland. Grandchildren, Michelle Joy, George Lavioe, Taneale Toothaker, Jeremia Goodall, Jessie Goodall, and Marcus Nadeau. Great grandchildren, Nakia Penny, Izabelle McLean, Cole McLean, Lexa Goodall, Oryan Goodall, Triton Goodall, Juliet Joy, and Mia Lavoie. Two sisters, Edith McGinnis and Audrey Muller. Stepchildren, Carol Dana, Janet Horn, Roy Dana Jr, and Lana Dana. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bunny enjoyed any and all outdoor activities, especially, camping canoeing, and fishing. She was always the fish catcher. Roy Sr, use to tell people that if she dropped a fishing line in a mud puddle she could catch a fish. Bunny had a very strong work ethic that she passed on to her children. She worked many years at Viner shoe as a bottom cementer, and 10+ years at Olemon Industries as a cassette manufacturer where she later retired from. On June 6th, relatives and friends are welcome to attend a grave side ceremony at the Riverside Cemetery located in Newport on Cemetery Rd at 10 AM with a celebration of life at the American Legion Hall located at 82 North St in Newport at 12:00. The family invites relatives and friends to bring a picture and or a story to share.
