Priscilla Christine  Brace
Bangor, Maine – Priscilla C. Brace, 91, died of congestive heart failure July 30, 2015 at a Bangor, ME nursing home. She was born January 16, 1924, in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of Earl John and Catherine (Tazelaar) Oriel.

Priscilla graduated from Moody Bible Institute of Chicago in 1949 and enjoyed teaching Sunday School in her early years. In 1977 she graduated from Brewster Adult Technical School, Tampa, FL and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She retired as a Clinical Nurse from Lee Davis Clinic in Tampa, FL. Later, she married Delmer Brace of Grand Ledge, MI. She was a member of Faith Bible Church, Lansing, MI and enjoyed church activities, gardening and needlework.

Priscilla was predeceased by her husband, Delmer; her son, Doug Johnson; sisters, Pauline Oriel, Hazel Kastelin, Bernice Visser, Mary Winters; step-son, James Brace; and brother-in-laws Elmer and Leon. She is survived by her daughters, Dawn (Patrick) Hussey of Hampden, ME and Diane (David) Parsons of Pendleton, OR; step-daughters, Elnora (Larry) Petrie of Clyde, OH and June (Thomas) Fillar of Karamazoo, MI; step-sons, Robert M. (Esther Bailey) Brace of Eaton Rapids; 3 grandchildren, Tim Zolman, Susan Dupont, and Jaclyn Hussey, 23 step-grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 36 step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held at Brookings-Smith, in Bangor, ME, where Priscilla's friends in Maine could pay their respects. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 7, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Faith Bible Church, 5211 W. St. Joseph Hwy., Lansing, MI 48917, with Pastor Gene Harris officiating. Interment at Pioneer Cemetery, Grand Ledge. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and dinner at the Faith Bible Church Fellowship Hall.
