BANGOR - Lori Martin, 56, died, August 19, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 21, 1959, in Millinocket, the daughter of Richard and Glenda (Merry) Martin. Lori grew up on her family's farm in Patten where she learned the importance of hard work and developed her passion for farm animals. Lori graduated at the top of her Class from Richland High School in Texas, and graduating, Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maine, while raising her three children. Lori worked as a billing specialist for 20+ years at Eastern Maine Medical Center. Family was the most important thing to Lori, always putting their needs ahead of her own. She was a generous, caring person who loved her grandchildren more than words could express. Lori was also strong willed, having battled cancer for the last 17 years. She was an active member of the Rock Church, and enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, gardening and fishing. In addition to her parents, Lori is survived by her three children, Elizabeth and her husband, Gabe Tinkle, Mark Arey, and Shelby Conley; five grandchildren, Isaac, Elijah, and Dezirae Tinkle, Aubrey Bragg III, and Kailyn Cooney; three brothers, Craig Martin, Doug Martin and his wife, Amy, and Carl Martin and his wife, April; Sister, Andrea Martin. A celebration of Lori's life will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday August 21, 2015, at The Rock Church, 1195 Ohio Street, Bangor with pastor Kirk Winters, Officiating.
