Obituary for Felicia June Weymouth (Applebee)

Felicia June Weymouth (Applebee)
Bangor – Felicia June Weymouth died peacefully at home May 30, 2016 after several years of declining health. She was born June 27, 1928, in Guilford, the daughter of Hugh and Beatrice (Blake) Applebee. After graduating from Guilford High School in 1946, she married the love of her life, Bill Weymouth of Guilford and Bangor. They enjoyed 70 happy years together.

Felicia was a member of Hammond Street Congregational Church where she was very involved with the Christian education program. Her love of children led her to teaching life skills to special needs children at Bangor High School. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who spread love and care abundantly.

Felicia enjoyed lobster bakes, sailing, camping, African safari, and traveling the world. Spending time with her family was most important to her. She will be remembered for organizing fun times at Half Moon Pond in Searsport and at Orange Acres in Sarasota, Florida where she and Bill enjoyed many retirement years.

Felicia is survived by her husband, William C. Weymouth, of Bangor; a son, Alan Weymouth and wife Mary Jean, of Bar Harbor; a daughter, Caryl Giggey and husband Michael of Topsham; grandson Matthew Giggey of Portland; a granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth Guay and husband David, of Lewiston; 2 great-grandchildren, Samuel and Annaliese Guay; and many nieces and nephews.

Felicia’s life will be celebrated in a private memorial service. The family would like to thank Hospice of St. Joseph for their wonderful care. Those who wish to remember Felicia in a special way may make gifts in her memory to Hammond Street Congregational Church UCC, 28 High St., Bangor, ME 04401, or to Cancer Care of Maine, 33 Whiting Hill Road, Brewer, ME 04412.
