Charles  Spencer
Ellsworth – Charles A. Spencer, 80, died peacefully October 21, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 12, 1936 in Veazie, son of Charles Abraham and Evelyn Mae Spencer.

Charlie attended Veazie and Bangor schools. He was a US Navy veteran, was employed by the Bangor Hydro Electric Company, as a hydro operator at the Ellsworth dam. Following retirement, he was employed at the Jackson Lab in Bar Harbor as a security officer. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Peg, of 58 years, two children, Bruce Spencer and his wife Irene, and Holly Spencer; one granddaughter, Jayleen Spencer and her significant other Sheldon Jordan; three great grandchildren, Bentlee Charles Jordan, Bradlee Ralph Jordan, and Brailee Louise Jordan; three sisters, Frances Lindquist, Alverda Wilson, and Janet Sleeper; two brothers, George and Eugene Spencer; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 2pm, Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Union Congregational Church of Ellsworth Falls, North Road, Ellsworth.
