Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Opal Joslyn can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Opal J.  Joslyn (Townsend)
Hampden - Opal J. (Townsend) Joslyn, 75, passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2017. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. Opal was a vivacious, loving woman who always put others before herself. Her kind words and hardworking hands helped her to do the Lord's work, including caring for many grateful family, volunteering for the past decade at the Seeds of Hope Food Pantry, and as a dedicated member of the Beacon of Hope Church. Opal is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Arnold Joslyn of Hampden; daughters, Kathy Pelletier of Bucksport, and Carol Qualey and her husband Joe of Dexter; sons, Nelson Joslyn and his wife Robie of Illinois, and Larry Joslyn of Washington; sisters, Bernadine, Gloria, and Naomi; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and dear friends.
