Obituary for James Adrian Moody

James Adrian  Moody
HAMPDEN – James A. Moody, 75, went to be with the Lord August 5, 2017 after an extended illness with Mesothelioma at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 5, 1942, in Millinocket, the son of Marguerite E. Duffy and Nathaniel E. Moody (adoptive) and Adrian Soucier (birth).

Jim was a loyal member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3177. He was an avid fisherman. He loved to catch trout and to go ice fishing, hunt birds and deer, snowmobiling. Jim loved music and was an amazing dancer, whether it was the waltz or the two-step. He was an avid sports fan following all the Boston teams along with the Hampden sports teams. Jim had a strong work ethic, working for the Bangor School Department from1965-1999.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, William Moody. Jim is survived by his daughters: Lorianne Bousquet, Carianne Good, and Michelle Hammond; step-son, Vincent West; step-daughter Lisa Thompson; his beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sisters, Marie Miller and Natalie Summers; a brother, Jerry Moody;many wonderful nieces and nephews; best friend, John McCausland; and many other friends, too numerous to mention.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 9:30-10:30 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2017, at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Matthews Catholic Church, 70 Western Ave., Hampden followed by the Rite of Committal at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden.
