Obituary for Keith Maxwell Doak

Keith Maxwell  Doak
Keith “Pappy” M. Doak, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 9, 2018, at a Bangor hospital. He was born August 20, 1932, in Oxbow, the son of Roy M. and Mary A. (Goss) Doak.

Keith honorably served his country in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1951-1952. He was a Life Member of the Brewer Eagles Club where he started the Bingo games. Keith worked for 23 years for the Department of Transportation where he retired. He was well known for sitting on the front porch of his home waving at folks passing by for over 40 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Shirley (Lindsey) Doak; daughters, Dee Hancock of Brewer, Dawna Dearborn of Bangor; grandchildren, Josh Mitton and wife Karen, Kellie Sletten and husband Loren, Brandon Giggey, Justin Goddard and wife Jennie; great-grandchildren, Bradley, Beckett, Chase, and Hallie; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his best friend and identical twin Kenneth M. Doak, and a brother, Vernon Doak. The family would like to thank the Hospice Caregivers of CHCS Hospice for all their loving care and attention.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 1-3 PM, Sat, Jan 13, at the Brewer Community of Christ Church, 128 Pierce Road, Brewer. Gifts in his memory may be made to CHCS Hospice Services, P.O.
