Obituary for Alice Natalie Goodin (Simon)

Alice Natalie Goodin (Simon)
BANGOR & MILLINOCKET – Alice N. (Simon) Goodin, 89, died unexpectedly April 15, 2018, at a Bangor hospital, with her family by her side. She was born February 21, 1929, in Millinocket.

Alice grew up in Millinocket, and moved to Bangor in 1945 when she married her husband, Adelard Goodin. They shared 41 years of marriage together until Adelard’s passing in 1988. Alice worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Bangor for 20 years, retiring at age of 80. She enjoyed gardening, taking walks and looking for four-leaf clovers – which she had a good eye for, visiting the seacoast, and watching the New England Patriots. Alice’s greatest joy in life was when she was able to spend time with her family.

Alice was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Povelitus; her husband; a son-in-law, Robert Pepe; and a special grandmother, Anna Provelitus. She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Pepe of New Jersey; sons, Ronald Goodin and wife, Cindy of Florida; Thomas Goodin and wife, Dawn of Massachusetts, Bernard Goodin of Bangor, and Mark Goodin and wife, Laura of Levant; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Alice’s wishes, services will be private for the family. Interment will be in Millinocket Cemetery. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com
