Marjorie (Pray) Niles
BRADFORD – Marjorie Pray Niles, 89, went home to be with her loving Lord and Savior August 3, 2018, surrounded by family. She was born January 30, 1929, in Bradford, the daughter of Percy I. and Lucy M. (Rice) Pray.

Marjorie graduated from Bradford High School. She was a beloved lifetime member of the Bradford Baptist Church. Marjorie married Richard C. Niles, and they shared over 60 years together. They enjoyed two summers in Alaska, and 15 years wintering in Florida. Marjorie worked in several school kitchens for many years. She was well known for her baked beans, rolls, and unforgettable donuts. Marjorie loved and looked forward to going to the lake every summer. She loved her family and attending all family reunions. Marjorie was blessed and loved.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard; siblings, June Pray, Rose Whiteside, and Paul Pray. She is survived by her daughter and lifelong friend, Cindy Bean and husband, Alden; four sons, Larry Niles and wife, Susan, Carl Niles and wife, Elaine, Ricky Niles and wife, Joyce, Donnie Niles and wife, Linda; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren; five siblings, whom she loved dearly, Elsie Catell and husband, Stan, Marilyn Bommer and husband, Arno, Adrian Pray and wife, Val, Lois Knapp and husband, Joe, Lorraine Higgins and husband, Bob; sister-in-law, Marlene Pray; brother-in-law, Haven Whiteside; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor. A funeral service to celebrate Marjorie’s life will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday August 8, 2018, at Bradford Baptist Church, 461 Main Road, Bradford. Interment will be in Williams Cemetery, Williams Road, Bradford, immediately following the service, Wednesday. The family invites all to share conversation and refreshments back at the church following interment. Those who wish to remember Marjorie in a special way may make gifts in her memory to Bradford Baptist Church, 461 Main Rd, Bradford, ME 04410.
