Abbot and Kittery - James Lester Chick, 66, died unexpectedly October 9, 2018. He was born in November 28, 1951 in Portsmouth, NH, the son of Frederick C. and Betty L. (Cobb) Chick Sr.

James served his Country for eight years in the United States Navy. Following the military, he was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard, retiring after 23 years. James was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.

He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. James will be remembered by all who knew him for his kindness and thoughtfulness.

He was predeceased by his mother, Betty L. Chick. James is survived by his father, Frederick C. Chick Sr., of Parkman; sister, Vicki Rollins of Parkman; brothers, Ronald Chick and his wife, Pam, of South Berwick, Frederick C. Chick Jr., and his wife, Bonnie, of Abbot, Barry Chick of Ossipee, NH, and Daniel Chick Sr., of East Wakefield, NH; several special nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

James will be buried with military honors in the Maine Veterans Cemetery, Augusta. At his request services will be private. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com
