Condolence From: Paula and Brian Page
Condolence: Dear Penny, Jeannie, Peter, our deepest condolences to you on the loss of your dear, sweet mother. She made such a profound, lasting imprint on so many, many lives-young and old alike. Your mom and dad together made so many wonderful lasting contributions to the community.
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with your mom on several church-related projects. Everything she undertook was always done beautifully, tirelessly, and with such love. May her memory be eternal+.
Much love to you,
Paula and Brian

Condolence: Thoughts and prayers for you all during this difficult time. Maria was an inspiration to all of her students. Her dedication to St. George's Church was appreciated by the Community. She was so kind to my parents throughout the years. Thank you, Maria.

Condolence: Mrs. Brountas was my 1st grade teacher in the early 90's. I have thought about her often and very fondly ever since. Her impact on my life was both subtle and profound, for she made learning exciting and something I approach now as an adult with eagerness and tenacity. Truly, she was a one in a million woman and I am endlessly grateful to have had the opportunity to know her.

Condolence: Most teachers, even the good ones, spend an enormous amount of their time and energy discovering what their pupils do not know, and then underscoring that ignorance. Mrs. Brountas was remarkably different! Determined to understand what her students were capable of learning, and determined to see her students understand they were, in fact, capable of learning it, she built her relationship with each student on love and respect. The rest simply fell into place.

Condolence: I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Maria or Mrs. Brountas as I knew her. She was my first grade teacher at Vine St. in the early 1980s. She was the first teacher that made me love learning. She always made it so fun. I can still clearly remember the theme weeks we would have when she would turn a whole half of our classroom into the habitat of dinosaurs or the solar system. She turned out to be the most memorable and favorite teacher of my elementary years.
She was also my neighbor two doors down when we lived on Vernon St. My friends and I used to go visit her in the summers even into high school and she would always have lemonade and cookies for us :)
She was truly a special lady & I feel honored to have had her as my teacher and in my life beyond 1st grade. Sending my my sincere condolences and blessings to you all🙏🏻
