Newburgh – Larry J. Jordan, 63, beloved husband of Margaret Jordan passed away June 3, 2010 at a Bangor hospital after complications from heart surgery. Larry was born in Bangor August 24, 1946, the son of Roland Jordan and Roberta Jordan Blaisdell and was the step son of Frank E. Blaisdell.
Larry was a 1964 graduate of Hampden Academy. On August 20, 1966 he married Margaret M. Bossie, the love of his life. Larry served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1971 which included two tours to Vietnam. He was a well known professional truck driver and at one time was an owner/operator. He was currently working as a truck driver for Central Maine Transport where he worked for the past 15 years. When not working, Larry loved watching NASCAR and spending time at the lake on his pontoon boat.
Larry is survived by his wife of 44 years, his beautiful daughter Jodi A. Jordan, his son and best friend, Randy A. Jordan, his sister Brenda Blaisdell and her husband Doug, brother Brent Jordan and wife Gloria, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a special cousin, George Long. He was predeceased by his parents, and a sister Sandra.
Family and friends may visit 12-2 P.M., Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Avenue, Hampden. Out of respect for Larry and his family, please dress casual for this occasion. A private graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
