Bangor – Robert R. Hamel, 72, passed away peacefully September 9, 2011 at a Bangor hospital. Robert was born in Bangor October 27, 1938 to the late Ralph and Ethel (Giggey) Hamel.
"Bobby" as Robert was so lovingly called, loved life. He loved to dance and socialize and was well loved no matter where he went. Bobby will be remembered as a loving brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
Bobby is survived by his siblings, Earle Hamel, Levola Craig, Cressa Garland, Ralph Hamel, Dennis Hamel, Ronald Hamel and Paul Hamel as well as several nieces and nephews to numerous to mention.
Bobby's family thanks the Getchell Agency for all that they have done for him.
A funeral service will be held 2 P.M., Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Avenue, Hampden.
