Newburgh – Roland F. Emery, 86, passed away peacefully June 14, 2012 at his home in Newburgh surrounded by his loving family. Roland was born in Island Falls February 26, 1926 to John and Delia Emery.
Roland worked for Cianbro Corp where he retired after 30 years of service.
Roland is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Emery of Newburgh; Children, Sherry Smith and husband Doug of Newburgh, Kim Ross and husband Allen of Newburgh, Pam Tagtow and husband Gary of Atwater, MN, Jim Dennison and wife Brenda of Jackson, Steven Emery and wife Caryn of Smyrna Mills, Linda Dickinson and husband James of Oakland, and Larry Emery and wife Maureen of Newburgh, 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, a sister Lorraine; and two brothers, Daniel and Rodney.
A graveside service celebrating Roland's life will be held 12 P.M. Sunday, June 17, 2012at Brookside Cemetery, Chapman Road, Newburgh. Memorial contributions in Roland's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Maine Chapter, 383 U.S. Route One, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
